Hi guys! Forget me? I just wanted to say hi. Have you guys heard of the elections? Our school had a student vote, where WE got to vote. The whole school voted for either The Green Party of Canada, NDP, Liberals, or conservatives. I was wondering if the current grade 5 kids are doing that. Bye!
Apogees for not blogging earlier there were some private issues at school that needed to be organized. Now I am going to Sidney Ledson Insitute-SLI. There about 45 students there in total. Do you want to read the most miserable series ever? Some events listed in these books are heart breaking. My friends have started crying because of these unfortunate events. Their tragedy starts with a terrible fire that leads to ugly clothing, horrible chores and a rotten plot to steal a fortune. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny endeavour through these sorrowful events. Find a book shop or library to find the ‘Bad Beginning.’
Does the main character in the story act like one of your friends?
Yes, I think that my friend Kristen acts like Klaus. They both enjoy reading books. However, Kristen only enjoys fantasy, while Klaus is happy with any genre. They will both be able to comprehend the book accurately. Sometimes I will quiz Kristen on the book she is reading and she will answer all the questions correctly. I would presume that if I did the same thing with Klaus, he would also ace my quiz.
What food represents the book?
I think that onions represent the book. The Austere Academy reminds me of onions because they make you cry. The Austere Academy is a story about 3 clever orphans who are heirs to an enormous fortune which they will inherit in 4 years. In most fiction stories there is an antagonist. In this case, his name is Count Olaf and he does unimaginable things to the poor orphans. For example, locking the youngest child up in a birdcage and hypnotizing Klaus, one of the orphans, to hurt a friend of his. The orphans have been through a series of unfortunate events in order to keep their friends and fortune safe from the danger of Count Olaf.
What does the Alchemist mean when he said,”You don’t have to understand the desert, all you have to do is contemplate a simple grain of sand, and you will see in it all the marvels of creation.”
I think that it means that if you contemplate and focus on grain of sand you will realize things that you did not notice before. If you stare at the whole desert, there will be too may distractions. You will start to understand the marvels of this world.
Choose a piece of media that represents the book.
I think that Sherlock Holmes movies are similar to a Nancy Drew book. Both Nancy and Sherlock solve mysteries. Some of Sherlock’s cases may be more serious than Nancy’s, but they are both detectives. They enjoy solving mysteries and have fun solving them. This is why Nancy and Sherlock are similar.
In my opinion, The Ersatz Elevator is similar to the myth of Arachne because they both about perseverance. In The Ersatz Elevator, the orphans have to persevere to find Count Olaf and have to sabotage his plan. If they didn’t, their friends would have been gone forever. In the myth of Arachne, Arachne has to persevere and try to weave a web that is better that Athena’s. If she didn’t win, she would have been in grave danger. This is why Arachne and The Ersatz Elevator are similar.
